Error Message

Describe the problem/error/question

I tested several subworkflow nodes and they all gave the same connection error.

What is the error message (if any)?

  • error: all

Describe the problem/error/question

Every time I access a subworkflow directly through node execute sub-workflow, a message appears in the upper right corner saying "Connection lost," and if I try to run a test, it says that n8n doesn't have an internet connection.

I tested several subworkflow nodes and they all gave the same connection error.

What is the error message (if any)?

extent analysis

TL;DR

Check the network configuration and dependencies of the n8n docker container to ensure it has the necessary internet connection.

Guidance

  • Verify the docker container's network settings to ensure it can access the internet.
  • Check the postgres database connection to rule out any database-related issues.
  • Test running the subworkflow nodes with a different execution mode, such as local or main, to isolate the issue.
  • Review the n8n logs for any error messages related to network connectivity or database access.

Example

No code snippet is provided as it is not clearly supported by the issue.

Notes

The issue may be related to the docker container's network configuration or the n8n setup, but more information is needed to provide a definitive solution.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Check and adjust the network configuration of the docker container to ensure it has internet access, as this is the most likely cause of the "Connection lost" error.
