Problem or Use Case

The current themes (Midnight, Ember, Mono, Cyberpunk, Rose) only change the colour scheme of the site. To be really honest: The selection of fonts and colours is non-standard. And the use of serif fonts, especially small and light font weight with little contrast makes the dashboard REALLY hard to read. While this certainly is a labor of love, I am sure that many users would prefer a more market standard conforming UI.

Proposed Solution

Please add one or more themes (dark mode preferred on my side) that use more standard fonts, font sizes, font weights and contrasts. Happy to provide examples. Linear is currently a good one when it comes to clarity and readability.

Debug Report (optional)

extent analysis

TL;DR

Add new themes with standard fonts, font sizes, and contrasts to improve readability.

Guidance

  • Review existing themes (Midnight, Ember, Mono, Cyberpunk, Rose) and identify areas for improvement in font selection and color scheme.
  • Research market-standard UI designs for inspiration, such as the Linear theme mentioned.
  • Consider adding a dark mode theme as a priority, as requested.
  • Gather examples of clear and readable font combinations to inform the design of new themes.

Example

No code example is provided, as the issue focuses on design and user experience rather than specific code changes.

Notes

The solution will depend on the specific design and implementation details of the existing themes and the desired new themes.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Add new themes with improved font selection and color schemes to enhance readability, starting with a dark mode theme.
