Problem Statement

Markdown is a great format to work with Claude Code. Obsidian is a great Markdown editor.

There are some community run projects to make Claude code work inside Obsidian e.g.: https://github.com/derek-larson14/obsidian-claude-sidebar But the integration is generally not as good as it could be. Things like Claude seeing what files are open or in focus are missing.

Proposed Solution

Utilize the Obsidian CLI (https://obsidian.md/cli) to make Claude code integrate well with a running Obsidian instance.
