As others have been griping, a simple prompt requires unreasonably long response times. Gemini CLI becomes effectively useless in this state (e.g., a human will produce working code in less time).

Opening this as a bug since I noticed that setting plan mode (Shift+Tab) resolves the issue. Going back to action mode reverts to the long waits.
