What happened?

gemini opens +3 shells, and if the third one needs confirmation there is no way to shift focus to the third shell. only betwen two shells with tab and tab+shift.

What did you expect to happen?

If you want to use multiple shells, the user needs to be able to navigate between them.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can be mitigated by using a different keyboard shortcut or navigation method to shift focus between multiple shells in gemini.

Guidance

  • Verify that the issue is specific to the tab and tab+shift shortcuts by trying alternative navigation methods, such as using the mouse or other keyboard shortcuts.
  • Check if there are any existing configuration options or settings in gemini that allow for customizing the navigation behavior between multiple shells.
  • Consider reporting the issue to the gemini developers or maintainers, providing the client information and session ID for further investigation.
  • If possible, try reproducing the issue in a different terminal emulator or environment to determine if it's specific to xterm.js or VS Code.

Notes

The issue seems to be related to the navigation behavior in gemini when multiple shells are open, and the provided information suggests that it might be a limitation or bug in the current version (0.40.1).

Recommendation

Apply workaround: The best course of action is to explore alternative navigation methods or report the issue to the gemini developers, as there is no clear indication of a fixed version or straightforward solution.
