Environment:

  • OS: Windows
  • Hermes Desktop: v0.15.1
  • IME: Japanese IME / Microsoft IME
  • Input language: Japanese

Problem: Japanese IME input does not work correctly in the desktop chat composer. During composition, Japanese text may not appear correctly or may be lost/not reflected in the draft.

Expected: Japanese IME composition should work normally. Confirmed composed text should remain in the composer and be submitted correctly.

Observed: Japanese text input fails in the desktop composer.

Technical note: This may be related to draft synchronization during IME composition. A possible fix is to avoid syncing draft state from onInput while composition is active, then sync the editor DOM text on compositionend and immediately before submit/queue/save.

Likely area: apps/desktop/src/app/chat/composer/index.tsx
